Plastic netting manufacturer Conwed premiered its new netting capabilities video on the company website www.conwedplastics.com/en/about. This short visual presentation summarizes the product development expertise that Conwed brings to a wide range of industries and applications. “Our netting usually hides behind the scenes of hundreds of industrial and consumer products so it is relatively difficult for our customers and prospects to recognize what other functionalities plastic netting may bring outside of their existing application. This new video is an effort to briefly communicate the broad capabilities of our materials,” says Ivan Soltero, strategic marketing manager at Conwed. Conwed manufactures extruded, oriented and knitted netting with unique customization capabilities. From agriculture, automotive, building and construction, and resin infusion, to filtration, hygiene, medical and packaging applications, Conwed netting performs different performance functionalities. “Our R&D works closely with our customers to develop features that can help them improve their final products. Our goal is to communicate the different roles netting can play in the final product design and explore new solutions for existing problems,” says Soltero. Among their latest netting technology innovations, Conwed expanded its elastomeric netting portfolio with the new Flat Rebound, an elastomeric netting configuration offered to manufacturers of adult incontinence briefs and underwear, baby training pants, therapeutic wraps, bandages and other consumer product applications. This new configuration with flat joints allows manufacturers to create smooth and stretchable composites for superior comfort and feel and it is an ideal alternative to other stretch materials such as films, spandex and stretchable nonwovens.
